Giving back to the community projects

FALL PROJECT

Wig stands for cancer patients at Paoli Hospital will be presented by Paula Garton on November 22, 2016 at 1:30PM.

Wigs are provided by the treatment Centers to cancer patients who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.  The Keystone Woodturners members have donated 19 stands for the presentation to Paoli Hospital.

WINTER PROJECT

Beads of Courage lidded boxes to be donated to  A.I. DuPont Childrens Hospital in February 2017.
Through the Beads of Courage campaign, children receive a unique bead to represent each procedure or treatment. For example, a red bead for each blood transfusion, a yellow bead for each night in the hospital, a star bead for surgery, a white bead for chemotherapy. Their collection of beads becomes a tangible record of their journey. Each wood-turned box will be used to hold a sick child’s precious beads.  In 2015 Keystone Woodturners donated a total of 35 Beads fo Courage wooden boxes.  Our 2016 goal is 50 wooden boxes through December.  These are two examples of our July donations
